The library of the HdWM
Use our reference and lending library! You have access to over 5000 media on various topics related to your degree programme. Whether it's compulsory reading or in-depth literature - you'll find what you're looking for here.
You can also access our numerous literature databases from the comfort of your own home. You are automatically authorised for this.
Lending:
What is an online catalogue? An online catalogue is a list of all media (books, e-books, journals, theses, etc.) and licences in our collection. In our catalogue you will also find location details (book signature), lending modalities etc. for each medium. News is also published in our online catalogue, e.g. changed opening hours, closing times and much more.
What can I do with a loan account? The loan account lists all book loans and the respective due date. You can create research lists in your account, place reservations on borrowed media or create acquisition proposals for the purchase of new books.
Would you like to borrow books on site? Fill in the registration form and you will receive access to your personal loan account.

Literature databases (licences):
Would you like to access our online databases? Go to our online catalogue under "Licensed databases" and click on one of the databases listed. You will be redirected to the OCLC login page.
The access data (username: email address; password: password email address) correspond to your student email address!
Attention: We have two accounts in the library: the lending account and access to the online databases! The access data are different.

1. EBSCOhost (23,023 e-books on all subject areas)
2. Wiso (predominantly German-language 6,740 e-books with over 12 million references)
3. SpringerLink (over 9.4 million multilingual articles from approx. 3,200 journals and 6,089 freely available open access books)
4. Wiley Online Library (current articles in English from over 2,000 journals)
5. DBIS (16 national licences): of which particularly recommended
Ø Cambridge Journals (420 peer-reviewed scientific journals and 366 books in English)
Ø Emerald Insight (1,300 e-books, 400 journals in English)
Ø Nomos eLibrary (4,292 e-books and 3927 journals, mainly in German)
Ø Oxford Journals (over 13 million articles from approx. 485 journals and 118 books (in English)
Ø Sage Journals (750 journals in English)
